That this application be approved to proceed for rezoning from RS-1 (Large Lot Residential) to RM-4 (Apartment) under Section 963 of the Municipal Act subject to: Completion of a design to the satisfaction of the Director of Planning; Satisfaction of Engineering Department requirements; Submission of landscaping plans to the satisfaction of the Parks and Recreation Department; Satisfaction of Building Department concerns; The project being subject to 1993 rates for Development Cost Charges; Consolidation of the properties into one lot; and &. Issuance of a Development Permit. That the Planning Department be authorized to draft Development Permit No. 12/93; and That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the documents when completed subject to the conditions noted above. BACKGROUND: A Rezoning and Development Permit Application has been received for the construction of 24-unit apartment building at 2260 - 2266 Welcher Avenue. The site is currently zoned RS-1 (Large Lot Residential) and is designated for “Apartment” in the Official Community Plan.
