recei -ived from the Fire Connittee concerning the minutes of a a meeting held

on 1 February 8th, and requested Glarification of a statement made therein
"that several matters in connection with the joint operation of fire ser-

vices were discussed’. Aldarman Mabbett advised that ‘the discussion concer-

ned the possibility of the city Providing Fire service to the Yorth-east

sector of the District of E Coquitlan, with the District looking after the

area of the cit y on the West side of: the Coquitian River ona tenporary

basis while the study continues as: te - whether or not : consolidation of the

fire services of both municipalities is feasible, Alderman Traboulay said

his understanding Was that what the Chairman of the Fire Committee is now

| Alderman Mabbett advised Alderman Trabovlay that his interpretation was in-
correct, and stated for clarification that it is hoped to get such an arrange-
ment t by March 1st until a firm decision is nade as to whether the two fire
