CALLS FOR ENTRY/ OPPORTUNITIES

The Cartwright Gallery, Circle Craft, the Crafts Asso-
ciation of B.C., and the Potters’ Guild of B.C, are
jointly sponsoring a “Granville Island Summer Craft
Fair", August 4-6, 1990, on Railspur Alley on the
Island. 75 to 100 participants will be selected by jury
to take part. To make application, one must be a
member of one of the sponsoring organizations, and
crafts of all media, except painting, graphic arts and
photography will be accepted. Cost is $125.00 [once
accepted after jurying). Booth area is 8 feet by 8 feet,
and the participant is responsible for designing and
constructing the booth. This will necessitate comeern
for the space, weather and appearance!, To be
considered by the jury, submit a maximum of 5 slides
to any one of the sponsoring organizations with entry
form found on page 7 of eie nema newsletter. Enclose a
SASE for return of slides.

Douglas College celebrates its 20th anniversary by
inviting artists to prepare visual artworks for a juried
art show in March 1990, The theme of this exhibit will
be visual representations of the artist's experiences,
thoughts, and impressions of education. All work
must be received between 5 and 8 pm on March 1/2,
1990, In the Douglas College Boardroom. The exhibit

The Granville Island Public Market will be holding
its semi-annual craft adjudication on Monday, April 2,
1996, People interested im selling their craft at the
Public Market should submit 4 samples of their work
tothe Granville Island office, 2nd floor, 1669 Johnston
St., between March 26th and April Ist, from 1:30-4:30
pm. There is a $5.00 cash registration fee. For more

The Vancouver Community Arts Council will hold its
8th Annual Juried Exhibition. March 15-30, at the
Community Arts Council Gallery, 837 Davie St. Select
works from this exhibiton will be included in the
Assembly of B.C. Arts Councils’ provincial exhibition,
Images & Objects VII, as part of the 1990 B.C. Festival
of the Arts to be held in Saanich, B.C, in May. Phone
