April 28th, 1975 A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B. C., on April 28th, 1975, at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell, Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, M.A. Thompson, and L.M. Traboulay in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer V.G. Borch, P. Eng., Recreation Director Janna Taylor, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, and City Treasurer G.F. Forcier. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Ranger: Minutes - Apr.14/75 Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on April 2Ist, 1975, be taken as read and adopted. Carried. Prior to passage of the resolution mentioned above, Alderman Traboulay drew the meeting's attention to the fact that on Page 2 of the minutes of April 21st the name "Arthur Laing" where it twice appears thereoti should be replaced with the name "Otto Lang". Alderman Keryluk referred to the first complete paragraph on Page 10 of the minutes of April 21st and requested that the Clerk listen to the tape-recorded account of that meeting and alter it tu more accurately reflect the remarks made by Alderman Keryluk at that time and it was agreed that the Clerk would make the corrections requested. DELEGATIONS: From Mr. Gregory Batt, Mary Hill Jr. Secondary School, April 22nd, G.Batt-M.Hil Adventure 1975, advising that the Mary Hill Adventure Club is officially applying Club-re Fraser River ยง for a grant with respect to the Fraser River Raft Race being sponsored Raft Race by the District of Maple Ridge as follows: {a} $50.00 for the entry fee; (b) $50.00ct0wards the purchase of logs and oar timbers plus a flat deck truck to transport the raft to Mission and back from Haney. Mr. Batt was in attendance at the meeting and spoke further to the proposal stated in the letter, Upon an inquiry being made the City Engineer estimated that the cost of transport requested by the Mary Hill Adventure Club would be approximately $300.00 to $400.00 since travel on Sundays and Statutory Holidays was involved.
