Before the show closed, Gordon Hutchen's large low-fired vessel and ‘copper’ plate were whisked away to the Canadian Embassy in Japan. Marlene Bowman's show, “The Colours of Copper’, has been even more successful. One large Vessel was bought as we were selling up the show. Another vessel went back to Japan to become the honorable water container for the tea ceremony. Mar- lene's Uhrown forms are strong and the wonderful subtle colours of her copper slain enhance the forme to perfection, Takako Suzuki's show, “Many Footed Bowls", runs October 16th through to November 4th. Come to the opening Saturday October 20th. 2-4 pm and meet Takako. “Gordon Hutchens, New Works” follows November 6th to November 25th. And the Christmas show fs coming right after.
