PRE SCHOOL USE means a use providing care and an enriching experience
for children three to five years of age ina group numbering up to twenty~five
children with the three year olds usually attending two sessions a week and the —
four and five year olds usually attending three sessions per week (each session
being of approximately two and one-half hours’ duration) in a facility licensed

under the Community Care Facilities Licensing Act."
2.  —s Pare ZL of the By-law ids amended by inserting the following as Section

205 thereof:
"205. USES LICENSED UNDER THE COMMUNITY CARE FACILITIES LICENSING act

(1) Where the use of prenises in the City as permitted by this
By-law requires licensing under the Community Care Facilities
Licensing Act such use shall be permitted only in facilities
(a) licensed under the provisions of the Community Care
Facilities Licensing Act;
(b) approved by the Council as suitable for the Community
Care Facility Use proposed;
(c) for which the said licence or approval has not been
revoked or withdrawn."
Where the number of children who are permitzed to be in
attendance at a Community Care Facility is limited children
‘ettending the facility of whom the Operator or licensee is
the parent or legal guardian shall be included in such limit."
3.. Section 401 of the By~law is amended by adding to the table of Permitted
Uses of Land, Buildings, and Structures in the 4gricultural Zone as show: therein
the Uses of "Group Day Care", "Family Day Care", “Out of School Day Care", “Pre

School", and "Child *tinding" to be permitted in the A-1 (Agriculture1) zoe only.

4. : Section SOL of the By-law is amended by adding to the table of Permitted

Uses of ‘Land, Buildings, and Structures in the Residential Zone as shown therein
the Uses of "Family Day Care", “Out of School Day Care", and "Child Minding" in

the RS-1 (One~Family Residential), RS-2 (One-Family Suburban Residential), RM-1

(Low-Density Apartment Residential), and RiH~2 Qledium-Density Apartment Residential)
20NES and the Uses of: “Group Day Care" and "Pre School" in the RM-1 (Low-Density
Aparmment Residensial) and RM«Z (lediun-Density Aparment Residential) zoyEs only.
Se . Section 502 of the By~law is amended by adding the following thereto as
subsection (8):

“(8) 0 A FAMILY DAY CARE USE, OUT OF SCHOOL DAY CARE USE, OR CHILD

(<4) in the RS-1 and RS-2 zones shall not be permitted wnere it
