The 1986 edition of
the Annual Terrace Mix-
‘ed Scrub Softball Tour-
nament is underway with
30 teams competing.
This is fewer than half
the entry list of past
years, but still better
than nothing.

The organizers set upa
round-robin series to
start. The teams have
been split into six divi-
sions of four teams and
two divisions of three
teams.

At the completion of
the round-robin, the top
two teams in each divi-
sion advance to a single
knockout playoff, begin-
ning this Saturday and
winding up on Sunday.

The tournament got
underway last Sunday
night with seven games.
It continues with seven
games a night until Fri-
day when the last seven
round-robin games are
played, Saturday night

sees eight games for the.

elimination series. The
final eight games go Sun-
day.

The schedule calls for
58 games overall, using

championship final set

are at Riverside.

Hockey game will
feature Terrace
star players

It’s not hockey season, but Terrace fans can take
in a game at the Terrace arena Friday night at 8:30

p.m.

It's the windup game of the summer development

camp with junior grads from the minor system split-
ting into two teams for an exhibition game.

Fans can see former well-known locals such as
Trevor Hendry, Ian Alger, Cliff Furnseth, Mark
Greyeyes, Ben Biagoni, Jeff Sharples, Wade Flaher-
ty, Tony Hildebrand and many more in action.

It’s $2 for adults and $1 for students, with all the
money going to minor hockey.
