November 25th, 1974 The City Clerk advised that he would be preparing the necessary by- law to provide for the proposed fee schedule and that it would be submitted for initial consideration by the Council next week. q Plan.& Zon.Comm. From the Planning & Zoning Committee, November 2lst, 1974, advising re GVHC property- NE cor.Lougheed that the Greater Vancouver Housing Corporation has purchased the property & Westwood St. City Clerk re land exchange- Pooley- Taylor area at the North-east corner of the Lougheed Highway and Westwood Street, that a letter was received from the G.V.H.C. outlining the intended use of the subject site, and that the Committee expressed objection thereto for the following reasons: 1. The subject site is low in the priority list for medium density residential development. 2. The best and highest use of the site has not been determined in light of the proposed Marathon Development not yet clear. The Committee further expresed its objection to being imposed upon by the G.V.H.C. timing and types of housing in Port Coquitlam. His Worship the Mayor requested that the above-noted report be accepted for information pending a meeting of the G.V.H.C. at the Villa Motor Hotel on December 3rd, 1974 at 11:00 a.m., and to this the Council generally agreed. Alderman Traboulay commented he was opposed to the fact that the G.V.H.C. has five members in the building trade who have voting privileges, and to the fact that there is not a member outside the building trade. His Worship the Mayor advised he would bring this to the attention of the G.V.H.C. at the meeting. From the City Clerk, November 22nd, 1974 regarding a proposed land exchange in the Pooley-Taylor area, and submitting a draft copy of a "Public Notice - Real Property for Sale by Tender" proposed to be issued with respect thereto. The City Clerk inquired whether the terms specified in the Notice are correctly stated, and whether the Council wishes to advertise the sale in a newspaper. The Council generally agreed that the terms stated in the Notice were correct, and with respect to advertising, the following motion was proposed: Moved by Alderman Traboulay: That the proposed land exchange in the Pooley-Taylor area be advertised in a newspaper. Lost for want of a seconder. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the proposed land exchange in the Pooley~Taylor area not be advertised in a newspaper. Carried.
