om UOUNC | JAN 14 1980 Mayor 2nd Council January 11, 1680. L.D. Pollock, City Administrator. Concession Operations ~ Port Recreation Centre After some discussions in Committee with Triple A and our Recreation Department staff Council approved the re-opening of the Concession stands at the Port Recreation Centre subject to getting the necessary agreement with the Union on staffing ete. TI would like to report that we have now reached an agreement with the Union and established a new position which would act as a staff supervisor for the concession operation and be responsible for scheduling of staff ordering of stock etc. The Parks and Recreation Committee report to Council is attached and while this was agreed to in Committee 1 would like Council's confirmation of the Committee's recommendations so that the necessary budget allotment can be made. Much of the preliminacy work has been done and it may be possible to meet the Committee's target date of January 21, 1980 for opening. The Union have been very co-operative in coneleding this matter and the Bargaining Committee has asked me to express the thanks of the Union to Council for re~instating this operation. a ee TE. te tS L.D.
