commented that the By-law does not seen: _~ be workable in view of the “peoblens
it has been creating for the RCMP and he also agreed that the By-law should be.
rescinded. Alderman. Traboulay pointed out, that the By-law was. ~serutinized in
the Supreme Court of B.C. and was found to. be. well fitted to the light of: ‘day;

therefore he proposed the feasibility of lifting. some. of the restrictions. should

be investigated.

That the City's staff be instructed to carry out the wishes of the Council
with respect to lifting the 26,000 1b. gross vehicle weight restriction from
Laurier Avenue inmediately as will be provided under By-law No. 1319 upon final

passage and adoption thereof. - Carried.
Aldermen Keryluk and Traboulay voted against the resolution.

Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Keryluk commented
that the By-law containing the restriction is still. in force until such time
as the Amending By-law is reconsidered, finally passed and adopted, and stated

his view that the Council should not take short~cuts.. _ , ys.B.A.
