SUBJECT:

That a standard catch basin and lead be installed in front of 2178 Grant Avenue at an
estimated cost of $3,000.

That $3,000 be allocated from the Public Works Special Capital Reserve Fund for this
purpose.

The Public Works/Traffic Committee considered the attached memorandum from the Project
Technician regarding a drainage problem in front of 2178 Grant Avenue.
: «

In the past, water from the road used to soak away in the boulevard near 2178 Grant Avenue. In
1992, the pavement on Grant Avenue was resurfaced and the shoulder was reconstructed. The
water now collects at this location and runs towards the residence.

As there is an existing storm sewer on the north side of Grant Avenue, it is recommended that a
catch basin be installed in front of 2178 Grant Avenue complete with a 150mm. diameter lead at
