Drama Festival; the sth place finish from pr incipal . _ For the.second year in g row, Caledonia was following subject areas: Art, Business Education, Drafting, Drama, English Language © and Literature, French, Graphic Com- munications, Home Economics, Industrial Education, Mathematics and Computer Science, Music, Physica] Education, the Sciences, Geography-History-Regional Studies and ‘ Sociology in Social Studies. ‘Students have a wide variety of extra- curricular activities from which to chose: French, Italian, Chess, Science and Education Fair, Annual Club, Inter-School Christian Fellowship, Students’ Council, Badminton, Soccer, Wrestling, Volleyball, Track and Field, Cross-Country, and Intra-Mural Sports. - Caledonia has a staff composed of highly qualified and dedicated members who work assiduously together to ensure that the best possible education is offered to the students. 1978-1879 was a year of great activity. Highlights of the year included: the visit to Richland, Washington State, by twenty-five of our students accompanied by John Toews, Allen _ and Maureen Wootton to view the Solar Eclipse: the Annual Terrace Education Exhibition and Science Fair: the visit to Quebec by 45 of our students accompanied by Mrs. Pelletier, a parent, Bill Sturn and Bob Bussanich; representation by Caledonia Players at the B.C. of KERMODES, cur Boys’ Basketball team, in © the B.C. Boys’ Basketball Finals; our Girls’ Basketball team represented the North West Zone in the B.C. Girls' Basketball Final held in - Victoria; our Badminton team was first in the Zone; our Soccer team and Girls’ Volleyball teams were second in the Zone; the Boys’ Volleyball team was second in the Zone and eighth in B.C. represented at the University of Victoria's Annual Humanities and Science Symposium, Don Baker was one of twenty-four students chosen province-wide from more than 300 en- trants, for the originality and ingenuity ‘of his paper entitled “‘Hitler’s Victory”. Steve Ross, _| Judi Eastman, D'Arcy Hill and Vido Schooner were selected as student-participants. ‘Taco Albrecht was the Sponsor teacher.
