A display table provided information about cancer, how to check for it and what the _ society's goals are. ‘“We had quite a few people tell us- that our brochures touched on everything in- dividuals may want to in- quire about,” said McKin- ney. The Terrace Unit raised $416, with the sale of daf- ‘fodils which sold ten for $1, over the weekend. The topic of discussion was ‘how long should I nurse?”’, Points covered included the nutritional and emotional benefits of extended nursing and the hursing mother returning to work. Extended nursing is an age old [concept that is ex- periencing a revival in popularity. although it is still a fact that the majori- ty of today’s infants are not nursed to six months, which is the recommended minimum by both the Canadian Pediatric Socie- ty and Ministry of Health.
