George S. Pearson merely served to re iterate that stand. Union officials also denounced the fact that provincial officials upheld four and six month jail sentences on some 200 jobless despite having known of Rogers’ visit te the city. “Qitawa and Victoria must have kmown of the new arrangements several weeks ago, yet they al lowed these young men to receive such stiff sentences,” remarked E.
