Read that CCF advertisement which appeared in the Jan. 26 issue of the
Owen Sound Times. Read on either side of it how the rabid Tory labor-hating
reactionary sheets, the Toronto Evening Telegram and the Toronto Globe and
Mail, picked up the Ball tossed by Messrs. Coldwell, Jolliffe, Millard and Park.
What do you-think, Canadian trade unionist? What do you think, members: of
the CCF throughout Canada? Is this what you want?

This ad and those speeches were not “accidents” made ‘in the heat of a cam-
paign.’” They are deliberate policy. The CCF ‘brain trusters “ wrote and said those
things because THEY THINK AS THE TORIES DO. They want to destroy the la-
bor movement if they cannot control it. They hate the Soviet Union, they hate
the real socialists who are battling to defeat fascism and usher in a new progres-
sive era in the world and in Canada. And they do it in the name of Labor.

When it comes down to cases, as it did in Grey North, the CCF leaders AoE
-only stand with the Tories but they set the pace for them in red-baiting and dis-
ruption. Look at these two pages: they are the evidence! :
