We had been in hospital with virus pneumonia and was rushed back to hospital. but hopes to be out for Christmas. THE Turkey Shoot and bingo held at 100 Mile was a decided success. A good crowd was present. Some extra good shooting was reported, Martineaus, Frank Roberts, EF. Weatherall, Ned Kiez, Mrs. Kay and Mrs. Duncan were the lucky winners. Dr. Swanson Turns Down Offer Of Cariboo Bishopric Rey. Cecil Swanson of Toronto has turned down “regretfully” the bishopric of the Anglican diocese ot Cariboo in British Columbia. Rector of St. Paul’s Anglican in Toronto, Dr. Swanson “I have been in Toronto less thun two years and I feel I have an obli- gation to stay with my parishioners.” Dr. Swanson, former dean of Ch Church Cathedral in Vancouver, was declared bishop-elect at a syned mieeting at Kamloops last week, ee The Brownies Corner Christmas parties at the meetings marked a happy end of the year tor both Girl Guides and Brownies last Monday afternoon. He was found to be In posession of tires from a car that was stolen in the Fraser Valley. Herman Metzger and Ronald Seot- ney who were arrested at Enterprise Station two weeks ugo and charged with theft of the automobile, each received a-year in jail when they were convicted of the charge at Langley. A third accomplice was also jailed for a year.
