April 12th, 1976 Alderman Traboulay expressed concern at the cost of operating the inhalator service in Port Coquitlam and Alderman Ranger advised that the Building & Protection Committee would be submitting a report thereon in the next short while. A discussion ensued, and Alderman Laking pointed out that municipalities should not class fines as a part of revenue, which he stated was a very poor policy, and that he was pleased this practice had been eliminated; however, Mayor Campbell accepted a Notice of Motion proposed to be presented at next week's meeting that a Resolution be submitted to the 1976 Convention of the Union of British Columbia Municipalities requesting that municipalities continue to receive in 1977, monies in lieu of fines.
