Mayor: Meeting with Rita Johnson. Dev. will be phased in. Increase in
traffic will not happen ail at once.

S: Phased over how long?
Director of Planning: Up to 10 years, depending on Market Conditions

S: 2000 more cars will make Coast Meridian a major thoroughfare. Lower
multi-family density may reduce impact and should be considered.

Requested info on ~ a mix of rental vs. strata, time for schools,
recreation facilities,

Ald. Laking: SD#43 - application to purchase School Sites this year.
Extension on Birchland School this year. Parks ~ Hyde Creek: master
plan includes recommendations soon to be public information.

Director of Planning: Land use is designated in Control Plan, then
specific proposals will be looked at, according to market at the time.

Doris Westrand, SD#43 School Board. sites are needed. 2 elementary, 1
Junior Sec. School.

Ald. Laking: Jr. Sec. School location — out of the way for population
it will serve.

Mayor: 04/25/90 - 3 school sites are back in the plan.

S: School site situation - will it be settled before dev. What effect
on taxpayer?

Ald. Keryluk: George Pearkes is overloaded, Jr. Sec. is a must cn the
site or close by.

Mayor: Situation may be solved before development. Funding has been
requested from the Province.

§: Evans Place — 80 sfd & new townhouses — sidewalks in dev. to school?

Mayor: List of overdue requirements/will be placed on list
~ light at Prairie and Oxford.
