It ‘was a split against fourth-ranked Prince George Senior Secondary (15-2, 11-15), and another split with seventh-ranked L.V. Rog- ers of Nelson (12-15, 15-6). Against 10th-ranked Vernon, the sixth-ranked Kermodes had another split (9-15, 15-13), with their fourth split in a row against un-ranked Port Moody (1 1-15, 15-2) to wind up the round- robin. . Scholarship for skier | Another Smithers skier seems destined for national and inter- national fame, and: he’s already received a $1,000 scholarship to help him on his way, Scott Marko, 16, won one of two Bob Parsons’ Memorial Fund schol- arships based on his racing skills, potential, sportsmanship and needs. The fund was set up by volunteer workers on the Whistler junior. program in ' honor of Parsons’’ long-time work with race programs. Marko is a member of the Smithers alpine racing team and trained with Smithers teammate Patricia Davidson with the B.C. development team in the United States and Austria this summer and early fall.
