SUBJECT: Colour of Street Light Poles ~ Genstar Phase 8
(Public Works Committee Meeting September 6, 1988

Recommendation:

That Genstar's request to have their Lumec L-19 street
light lamp posts painted black be approved with the
understanding that the City reserves the right to change the
colour in the future.

Background and Comments:

The attached letter from Genstar dated August 29, 1988
provides the background to this request. Following Council's
reasoning for the approval of the Lumec L-19 street lighting
system, the Public Works Committee supported this request.
However, in order to ensure that there is no misunderstanding
that the City wishes to preserve its right to alter the colour
in the future, the conditional approval is stated in the
recommendation.
