July llth, 1977 Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Laking reiterated his opposition to selling a portion of the closed road to the owner of the adjacent Lot 39 at a price per foot considerably less than that for which City land is usually sold. The City Clerk then advised, with respect to By-law No. 1548 referred to above, that it would now be necessary to petition the Lieutenant- | Governor in Council for abandonment of the closed road and vesting of title thereto in the name of the City. RESOLUTIONS: Moved by Alderman Thompson: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: WHEREAS by By-law No. 1548 of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam cited as the "Plan 2207 Road Closure By-law, 1977, No. 1548" a certain portion of road dedicated by Plan 2207 therein described located in the City of Port Coquitlam in the Province of British Columbia was stopped up and closed to traffic; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam be authorized to petition the Lieutenant-Governor in Council of the Province of British Columbia praying on behalf of the City for abandonment of the said portion of Road dedicated by Plan 2207 described in By-law No. 1548 and the vesting of the title to the land comprising the same in The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam.
