MEMO TO: Mayor & Council August 3rd FROM: Planning & Zoning Committee AUG 8 197? SEP 6 1977 Re: Neighbourhood Pub Applications “We have been advised by the Liquor Commission that the applicants fo1 a Neighbourhood Pub licence at 3261 Coast Meridian Road have appealed the decision of the Liquor Commission and the Liquor Commission are holding their application in abeyance until such times as the City Council consider whether or not they will support this appeal. The Planning & Zoning Committee have dealt with this question and still support the application for a Neighbourhood Pub licence at this location. ‘The Committee would therefore recommend that the Council support the appeal of applicants and the Liquor Commission be so advised. The Committee also understands that the applicant for a Neighbourhood licence at 338] Co#st Meridian also intends to appeal (the Ssuth-west corner of Dorset and Coast Meridian Road). The extension of the Commercial develop- ment North to this corner was discussed by Council at the June 27th meeting and ‘it was decided at that time the Commercial should not extend North cf the present Comercial development. With this in mind, the Planning & Zoning Committee are not prepared to recommend support of the application a licence at 3381 Coast Meridian Road. ae —.
