RE: -May Day Midway Attractions

When May Day was discussed by Council there was a feeling expressed that there were
problems associated with last year's midway attractions. Lee Kallen has investigated

_two or three alternatives and has proposed contracting with Canallied Productions: Ltd.

to provide the May Day rides and certain novelty stands etc. The contract with them
provides for a flat rate payment by the City of $2,000.00 (last year it was ona |
percentage basis and we netted $1800.00; in 1973 netted $1500.00) The charges for
rides will be 35¢ for adult rides and 25¢ for children’s rides. . oe, a

Both Lee Kallen and Alderman Laking have viewed the equipment and are prepared to

recommend that we enter into a contract with Canallied Productions Led. in order to
reserve them for the May Day dates. ,
