Re: Flood Control Works ~
Coquitlam Dyking District,

Please be advised that at the regular Council Meeting held on
September 23rd, 1974 the following resolution was passed:

"That the following three recommendations stated in a memorandum
from the City Engineer, September 20th, 1974, concerning major dyking and
drainage progress by senior governments » be adopted:

2. That The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam request that
the District of Coquitlam consider a resolution similar to 1. above and

3. That Mr. Bonham be requested to explain to Council and/or the public
the proposed project at an early date. In this regard soma aspects of the
proposed design have been questioned by the consultants and by Mr. Lockwood

and myself, and Mr. Bonham has assured us that the works proposed in the Outline
Report are not necessarily finalized. Alternate proposals and suggestions can
and will be considered as part of the detailed design process."

I believe that 1. above is in the form that you requested and
will enable you to give full authorization to Crippen Engineering Ltd.
to commence work. With reference to 2. above, a meeting is being held
Thursday, October 3rd, 1974 between the District of Coquitlam and the
City of Port Coquitlam and we will advise you the results of this meeting,
With reference to 3, above, this will confirm that you and Mr. Fuller |
will be attending the regular Council Meeting Monday, October Jth 1974
to explain the project to the City Council and to the attending public,
