The City Clerk, in his report, further ad~ vised that the amount to be paid to the City in the transaction is $6,000.00, 2 which price was set by the Community Development Committee and Council's con- -_) sideration of the By-law will be confirmation of that price. In his report, the City Clerk pointed out that the sum of $6,000.00 is just slightly less than $1.25 per square foot and, in addition, survey and legal costs must be borne by the Developer. The City Engineer advised that the developer originally indicated he would be constructing all the subdivision at the same time; however, as he is being rushed, he is going to stage the development so that he can proceed with the first part now and commence the second when the road closure is com- pleted. Alderman Laking introduced a By-law to authorize The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam to dispose of a portion of road and lane in and adjoin- ing Block 11 and shown dedicated on Plan 2797 of the South-west Quarter of Section 7, Township 40, New Westminster District in exchange for sufficient land to relocate the said road and lane.
