A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the
City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Counci| Chamber, Port Coquitiam
City Hall on Monday, November 24th, 1986 at 7:30 p.m.

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, M.D.
Gates, J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, W.W. Stewart and M.R. Wright in

attendance.

Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk R.A.
Freeman, Treasurer J.G. Maitland, City Engineer F.E. Peters and Parks and

Recreation Director K.J. Taylor.

Seconded by Alderman Stewart:

That the minutes of the Regultar Counci! Meeting held on November

17th, 1986, be taken as read and adopted.
Carried.

His Worship Mayor Traboulay introduced Mr. W. Roper from W. G. Roper
& Associates Inc., who then spoke on behalt of Avex Construction Ltd.
regarding an encroachment on City right-of-way and a Restrictive Covenant
that was not approved at a Counci| Meeting held November 10, 1986,

Mr. Roper Informed Council! that now only the roof was encroaching and
his client wished to have their request reconsidered.

Moved by Alderman Gates:
Seconded by Alderman Farnworth:

That the request from Mr. W. Roper for a restrictive covenant to
allow Avex Construction Ltd. to continue encroachment of the City right-
of-way be denied.

Defeated.
Aldermen Gates and Farnworth
voted in favor of the resolution.

Prior to the passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Keryiuk
suggested referral to the City Solicitor.
