SUBJECT: Loader/Backhoe

Recommendation

1. That we purchase the Melroe Model Articulated Loader
Backhoe at a cost of $55,000 from Bebcat Country Sales
Ine.

2. That the money for this equipment be taken from the
equipment reserve,

Background & Comments

The “Bobcat” being ordered will replace the present Zettlemeyer front
end loader. The mechanic has recommended replacement due to the
cestly repairs; the Zettlemeyer is eleven years old. The model that
we are purchasing will also have a backhoe attachment which will be
most useful for digging graves. Presently we have to "borrow" from
public works and it means that their projects fall behind. The above
price includes the trade in for the zettlemeyer at $4,800
