Government poli cy;

AND WHEREAS tho intlux of trznsient youth without adeguat,

means of support into 4 conmunity tends to inurease thu crim,
zate, increase the: level of alsonol aud drag chuse, and increase
the cost of Social Waliares to the municipality;

THEREFOPE BE xp RESOLVED that the Cownesl of The

Corporation of the City of Penticton petition the Government
Of Canada to discourage youths from travelling throughout
the Ceuntry during sumer vacation rariods unless they are
over the age of sixteen ¥Y@ars and possase sufficient funds
to reagonably sustain themselvas; ‘

FURTHER that the Courcitl of the Corporation of the City

of Penticton adept the following guide lanes:

Cepartmurs of Peohehilitation and Social improvement,
Polics, Probation, ana the organization Sponsoring the
hostel,

Young People without sufficient funds to reasonably
