Report from the Parks & Recreation Committee meeting held Thursday, June
20th, 1974 at 3:30 p.m.

Re: Rec Centre Parkine Lot

Council 1s aware that when the cocuments and drawings for the Wilson Avenue
Recreational Facility project were being finalized it was decided to not
include any work on the present or future parking lots. A provosed parking
lot layout has been prepared by the Engineering Department. The attached
sketch ig provided for information. The estimated cost of the parking lot
including contingencies is $120,000. This estimated cost provides for
excavation, base construction, drainage, paving, curbs, lighting, and land-
scaping. The Committee recommends that consistent with the City's authority
to borrow funds for this project, long term financing in the amount of
$120,000 be arranged for and that the work commence in such manner that it
is substantially complete at the time that the Recreational Facility itself
is completed,
