THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM C 0 1 N ( REPORT SEP 6 1977 TO: Mayor and Council September 2nd, 1977 FROM: Public Works Committee Re: School Crosswalks - Viscount Elementary School .Changes have had to be made ‘to the school crosswalk on Prairie Avenue serving Viscount Elementary School in order to take into account the extension of Prairie Avenue as an arterial street from Flint Street to Shaughnessy Street. Dis- cussions have been carried out involving the Viscount School Principal, the R.C.M.P., School District No. 43, and the City Engineer. It was unanimously agreed that the following changes should be carried out and these have been completed in time for the opening of school Tuesday, September 6th, 1977: 1. ‘he existing crosswalk on Prairie Avenue to the centre of Lot C, Plan 18332 (Viscount School property) is removed, 2. School crosswalks have been painted and posted across Prairie Avenue at the west side of Flint Street and from the northeast corner of Flint and Prairie to the southwest corner of Prairie and Cambridge. 3. A small portion of asphaltic sidewalk has been placed at the northwest corner of Flint and Prairie and an asphaltic sidewalk has been placed on the south side of Prairie from Flint to Cambridge.
