discussions regarding the purchase of an aerial platform fire truck and
pumper with the cost of the aerial platform fire ‘truck being
approximately $180,000.00.

That tenders be called for the purchase of an aerial platform fire

truck,

Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution discussion ensued,
Alderman Thompson asked for clarification of the cost of an aerial
platform fire truck and also the rate of escalation involved and the
Fire Chief endeavoured to answer questions from Council.

From Alderman Thomp;son, September 26th, 1978 a report on the
number of tank cars in the C.P.R. Yards in Port Coquitlam which could
contain toxic gases,

From Alderman Mabbett, October 8th, 1978 regarding the M.O.'.
ruling in the storing of highly explosive materials in the C.P. Rail -
PoCo yards.

Due to the lateness of the hour Alderman Traboulay suggcsted

that the memorandum from the City Engineer, September 28th, 1978 regarding

the feasibility of closing the Welcher Avenue dump be deferred until

the next meeting in two weeks and the Council agreed.
