Attention: Jaune Taylor, Parks asd Recreation Director. Dear Hiss Taylor: Rei Air Oualitv Honitorins. Me are requesting the assistance of the City of Port Coquitlaa in locating an air quality aonitoring instruaent in Port Coquitlaa. The air quality aonitoring station T10 which was located at 3288 Hastings Street has been aoved to the new Eagle Ridge Hospital. Me would like to locate a 'Total Suspended Particulate (TSP) Saapler in the central area of Port Coquitlaa to ensure that the City continues to be represented in the GVRD aabient air quality aonitoring prograa. instruaent is about 18 inches x 18 inches by 4 feet high and site «ith access to 110 volt power. ELectricity consuaption is in the order of 40 kwh per aonth (approsiaately $ 2.00 per ~ onth). At other aonitoring stations, the electricity cost has been covered by the City or Municipality. This would be the only cost to the City. The instruaent would be serviced by our technician once per week. I believe that Hr. Al Percival has aet with you to discuss a proposed location on the roof of requires The an TSP outdoor Milson Centre. I have enclosed a copy of the 1982 GVRD Aabient Air Quality Annual for your Infomation. The air quality aonitoring network is described in Section 1 of this report. As you can see froa the nap on page 5, we have 33 Total Suspended Particulate S~lers located in 14 GVRD cosaunities. Report Me trust that this request will receive your favourable consideration that ws will receive your pascal.asian to proceed with tld.s project. Please contact Hr.
