November 15th, 1976 Alderman Traboulay referred to an article in the November 13th, 1976 edition of The Columbian newspaper advising that recycled newspapers are now being sold for $20.00 per ton, and he suggested that the Public Works Committee or City Engineer investigate the feasibility of initiating newspaper collection as a pilot project in the new year. Alderman Traboulay referred to the starved calf situation and advised that the City Administrator would be preparing a report thereon for distribution to Council tomorrow. Alderman Keryluk advised for information that the movie recently filmed in Port Coquitlam will be televised this Friday, November 19th, 1976, on Channel 4 at 9:00 p.m. It was then mentioned that Miss Audrey Murray was resigning from the Coquitlam Herald Newspaper after 22 years of service as a reporter, and the following motion was Proposed: Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That a letter be sent from the City to Miss Audrey Murray officially recognizing her many years of service as a reporter for the Coquitlam Heraid Newspaper and to the Community. ‘wit MONTHLY REPORTS ~ INFORMATION ONLY: Carried.
