{s pied ยง aie ty ae be #2, A Bylaw to provide for the payment of an indemnity to the Mayor and Councillors of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam. Whereas Section 267 of the "Municipal Act" being Chapter 290 of the Revised Statutes of British Columbia, 1979, the Council may by bylaw provide for renumeration to the Mayor and Councillors of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, and may provide that a portion of the said indemnity to be paid to the Mayor and Councillors shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties of their respective offices; Now Therefore the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: l, This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes, as the "Council Remuneration Bylaw, 1994, No. 2906", During the period extending from the First Monday after the First day of December, 1993 there shall be paid to the Mayor of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam an remuneration of $45,175.00 per annum of which said remuneration 1/3 shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties of the office. Thereafter effective the First day of December of 1994 and 1995 this rate will be adjusted to a rate equal to the annual rate of change in the Consumer Price Index, Vancouver area, for that calendar year. During the period extending from the First Monday after the First day of December, 1993 there shall be paid to each of the Councillors of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam an renumeration of $15,585.00 per annum of which said remuneration 1/3 shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties of the office. Thereafter effective the First Day of December, 1994, this rate will be adjusted to 35.5 percent of the rate paid to the Mayor and effective the First day of December, 1995, the rate will be adjusted to 36.5 percent of the rate paid to the Mayor. The remuneration provided for in Sections 1 and 2 hereof shall be paid by the City Treasurer in twelve monthly installments, to the person entitled to receive the same without further order or resolution of the Council save and except as provided in Section 5 of this Bylaw. | eet READIN Was abe WNT Ad .
