Land Use Cont. #6 Auth.B/law #1325-1st 2 readings July 8th, 1974 Alderman Traboulay, a representative of the developer advised that 1.2 acres of the land would be given to the City for park purposes. Alderman Laking stated he was very much against giving this land since it would increase the density on the remainder to 11 units per acre rather than the 7-8 units per acre as recommended in a report from the Planning & Zoning Committee that was approved by Council earlier this evening. Alderman Ranger advised that the statement just made by Alderman Laking was the first he had heard since referring the proposal to the Parks & Recreation Committee some time ago for review. Moved by Alderman Thompson: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That By-law No. 1324 be read a second time. Carried. Alderman Traboulay voted against the resolution. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Thompson: That By-law No. 1324 be read a third time. Carried. Alderman Traboulay voted against the resolution. Alderman Thompson introduced a By-law to authorize the City to enter into Land Use Contract No. 6. Moved by Alderman Thompson: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That By-law No. 1325 be read a first time. Prior to the question being called on the foregoing proposed resolution, the following amendment was made: Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That Section 14 as set forth in "Land Use Contract No. 6", the Schedule annexed to and made part of the "Land Use Contract No. 6, Authorization By-law, 1974, No. 1325" be struck out in its entirety, and that the proposed condom- inium project encompass the total area involved in one parcel of land; AND THAT the City Clerk be instructed to make the necessary consequen- tial changes to Land Use Contract No. 6 in order that the land involved will remain as one parcel. Carried. The question then recurred on the amended resolution for first reading: That By-law No. 1325, as amended, be read a first time. Carried. Alderman Traboulay voted against the resolution.
