In the event of an emergency, the employer may recall a laid
off employee for a period of less than two (2) weeks, waiving
the usual fourteen days' notice, provided the employee is
available and is informed at the time of the recall that thia
ig en emergency situation and that layoff notice is waived. Ina
no case shall an employee be so informed if the employer is
aware that the employee will be required to work for a period

in excess o£ two weeks.
