COUNCI Mayor & Council December 12th, 1975 DEC 45 4975 ‘L.D. Pollock, City Administrator M.S.A. Dental Contract As Council is aware our Union contract provides for dental coverage and I have been presented with a renewal contract for a one-year term commenc~ ing January 1, 1976. The new contract calls for the following rates, the previous rates in effect are given for comparison as well: 1976 MSA Dental Plan Rates Plan wan & "pi Single Family $ $ Old Rate 5.16 13.04 New Rate 6.54 16.50 ‘the increases are around the 25% mark and this is because the existing contract was for a 2-year period ata fixed rate and the rates are now being revised in accordance with the experience of the plan. There are not too many other Municipal dental plans’ that have been in operation as long as ours; however, we dic check with the District of Coquitlam and the rates quoted above are less than the rates presently being paid in Coquitlam. I would recommend that we enter into the Contract as proposed by M.S.A. Reward for damage to City property Council has a resolution on the books offering a reward of up to $100.00 for information leading to the arrest of anyone involved in damaging the PoCo Yvail or related facilities.
