ae HA groom 3 Sara ht aw ee The Finance Committee has concluded that a better system would be to properly define 'Farm' in the By-law as being 'a Farm operation that receives the Tax exemption under the Assessment Act' and that all Farms be left on Meter, and that all other rural properties regardless of acreage be left on the regular Residential Flat Rate. Any Commercial enterprises, e.g. Greenhouses, etc. would also be on Meter. If this change is instituted, the loss in Revenue would be minimal around $500. for the year and it would clarify the problem of determining which Agricultural property should be Metered, and which shouldn't. The Finance Committee therefore recommends that this change, along with the definition of 'Farm'’ be incorporated in the Water Rates By~law for 1979. ea ged Lat al e
