September 30, 1991/225 A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of The City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, September 30th, 1991, at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Aldermen M.D. Gates, M.J. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, R.H. Talbot, and M.A. Thompson were in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, Acting City Clerk S. Rauh, City Engineer I.R. Zahynacz, Director of Building J. Shardlow, Fire Chief J. Baillie and Deputy Fire Chief G. Routley. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Thompson: Seconded by Alderman Talbot: That the minutes of the Regular Council meeting held on September 1991 be taken as read and adopted. Carried. PROCLAMATION: WHEREAS ¢ Crimestoppers of Greater Vancouver, since its inception in January 1985, have helped the Lower Mainland's neighborhoods become safer areas to live; . . . WHEREAS: Through the efforts of Crimestoppers to date, more than 2,000 arrests have been made, and more than $16 million worth of stolen property and drugs have been recovered ; | ‘WHEREAS: Crimestoppers has shown that cooperation by police, the public, the corporate community and the media can indeed make a difference in helping to make our City a better place to Live; . AND WHEREAS: To continue with the success of the program, Crimestoppers of Greater Vancouver must call upon the public for both increased awareness of the Crimestoppers TIPS line and financial support to continue with the much. needed reward program, NOW THEREFORE I, Leonard M.
