THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM 71 MEMORANDUM N C NOV 8 1982 TOs B. Kirk, November 3, 1982 City Administrator FROM: F.E. Peters., P. Eng., City Engineer SUBJECT: Parking Restrictions on Lions Way - ' Public Works Committee, November 2nd, 1982. RECOMMENDATION: That parking be eliminated from the north side of Lions Way adjacent to the park. BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: It appears that commuters or at. least employees of the surrounding businesses have taken over beth sides of Lions Way for alleday parking. This creates a problem in that the road then is capable only of one-way traffic and it interferes with work which our crews must do in the park. Both our crews and the Recreation Department have requested that ‘parking be eliminated on this street. The Committee is prepared to recommend removing the parking from the north side of the street at this time as this is where the major problem occurs. We would expect that cars moved fram this section will end up parking in the parking lot behind Lions Park. F.E. Peters., P. Eng-, City Engineer
