Peters, P, Eng., City Engineer Re: Revisions to Sprinkling By-law No. 1665 As a result of the solicitor's comments on our by~law 1665 which has so far received three readings, the Public Works Committee has reconsidered the by-law and suggests the following amendments: 1. Revise Section 262 by deleting the words "and all other forms of outdoor use of water", 2. Revise Section 26A, Subsections 1, 2, and 3 by deleting the words "and use water outdoors" from each of the three subsections, 3. Revise Section 26A, Subsection 5 by rewording as follows: “not more than one hose shall be in use for sprinkling purposes on any one premise at any one time and the inside diameter of such hose shall not exceed 13 mm". 4. Revise Section 26A by adding Subsection 6 as follows: "Notwithstanding anything in this section, where it is sonsidered in the best interests of the City to do so, the City may make further restrictions or prohibitions of water usage according to the time of day, area of the City, sides of the street, or by any other such method as is considered necessary and such restriction or prohibition will be considered to be in effect from pubii- cation of a notice thereof in a newspaper circulating in the City". 5.
