SUBJECT: Requested Route for the Cat & Fiddle Fun Run, RECOMMENDATION: Approve the requested route, shown on the attached pian, for the Cat 4& Fiddle run. PROPOSED ROUTE The Cat and Fiddle Pub would like to hold a seven kilometre fun run, with . _ funds raised going to the Burn Unit. The run will be held on Sunday _ September XX, Starting at 9:00am. The start and finish will be at the Cat & Fiddle parking lot and follow : oe the route shown on the attached plan. Check points will be positioned : throughout the route along with directional Signs posted for the runners. The proposed route looks acceptable for runner safety and traffic ; disruption, with two points of concern. The intersections of Routley and : Pitt River, and Mclean and Pitt River may cause some congestion for the : runners. At Routley, runners will be waiting for breaks in traffic to . . cross Pitt River. At Mclean, runners will have to pause for the traffic a : signal. The traffic however, at 9:00am Sunday should be fairly light | throughout the route and not pose much problem. No diversion or stopping . of traffic will be required.
