Re: Extraordinary Traffic Reeuiation By-law, No. 1119

On September 27th, 1971 the Council gave first three readings to. the above~
noted By-law, a copy of which is attached te this memorandum.

As required by the Municipal Act we forwarded the By~law for the approval of
the Minister of Highways and it has been Yequested that a clause be inserted in the
By-law to exclude its application from arterial highways which are, of course, highways
that are under the exclusive jurisc¢iction of the Province aud in Port Coquitlam the

only highway affected is the Lougheed Highway.

A draft resolution is attached and passage of this resolution by the Council

“will Sive effect to the request of the Department of Righways and enable process of

the By-law to continue.
