The purpose of this report is to:
1) update Council on the incidents of illegal dumping of wastes in the City and,

2) request that residents who witness illegal dumping report it io the City Bylaw Department.

Recently we have experienced an increase in the incidents of illegal dumping in the City. Over
the past year over $11,000 has been spent on clean-up and disposal of wastes which have been —

illegally dumped in ditches, cul-de-sacs, parks, etc. The money spent to date exceeds the

annual budget for illegal dumping of approximately $9,000. |

We encourage residents who witness an illegai dumping to take down the licence plate number
~ of the offender and report the incident to the City Bylaw Department.
