The regular meeting of the Ledsure Activities Commitéee was held
on Thursday, February 20th, 1975 at 4:30 p.m.

ITEM 1: Pont Coquitlam Amateur Athketic Association budget
mequest - See attached Letter.
Comments:
The Committee has discussed the Letter of December 10th,
1974 §nom P.C.A.A.A. and their request for an dnenease in their
grant. Tt was felt that many young people enjoy the dif ferent
Sports ond that all of the coaching is done ona volunteer
basis, and that no way was $5.00 per child excessive. The
Recreation Department would be unable to handle that many children.
at such a Low cost. .

Recommednation:
: The Leisure Activity Committee recommends that the

P.C.A.AA. per capita qnant-in-aid be raised {nom $4.00 to $5.00
‘per child, Further, that this grant be placed in the 1975
Provisional Budget of the City of Port Coquitéam.
