THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM 0 UJ Nl C SEP - 9 1974 COUNCIL DATE: SEPTEMBER 5, 1974 BUILDING AND PROTECTION COMMITTEE RE: APARTMENT DEVELOPMENT GUIDELINES At the July 10, 1974 meeting of the Building and Protection Committee, the Committee proposed the following "Apartment Development Guidelines". 1. AJ1 new apartment buildings to be of masonry construction. 2. Concealed parking under principal building with suitable security door. Provision of 1.(18' x 9') space for every 2 dwelling units for the parking of recreational vehicles. If this facility is to be provided outdoor, suitable screening not less than 6 feet in height is required. Minimum of one parking space shall be included in rental for each dwelling unit. Elevators to be of the size capable of accommodating a stretcher in case of emergency. All parking floors to be concrete pavement. 7. Adequate lighting for interior of parking structure, points of ingress and egress to and from the parking structure and all service driveways. 8. Speed bumps to be installed on service driveways wherever considered ' necessary. These proposed guidelines are placed before Council for consideration.
