Municipalities (UBCM). The jump is an increase of 15.5 per cent aver last year's $41 million, McKelvey says in a report to UBCM members. McKelvey also says total school district budgets have cleared $1 billion for the first. The total for in- carporated and unin- corporated areas is $1.08 billion. . The report says budgets were up by about $105 million from the 1977 figure of $972 million. However, while school budgeta have increased by about i0 per cent, govern- ment grants are up $13 million, an increase of four per cent from last year’ B #440 million.
