Eng., FILE: PW City Engineer re SUBJECT: PROPOSED STORM SEWER CONSTRUCTION = VINCENT CUL-DE-SAC (Public Works Committee Meeting of June 15, 1993) RECOMMENDATION: 1) ; That Council approve the installation of a 250mm diameter storm sewer at the proposed Vincent cul-de-sac at an estimated cost of $16,848. That $16,848 be allocated from the Special Public Works Capital Reserve for this purpose. BA Ri As shown on the attached pian the present pavement width on Vincent Street adjacent to 3819 Vincent is 5 1/2 metres wide and this road ends with no cul-de-sac. Also, flooding has recently been experienced by residents on the west side of Vincent. . The residents at 3816 and 3819 Vincent Street have agreed to dedicate an additional one metre wide road right of way through a road exchange as shown on the attached plan provided that the City installs a storm sewer and paves the cul-de-sac tum around. Also, the owner of Lot 3819 is willing to grant a storm sewer right of way to the City for the construction of a storm sewer from the Vincent cul-de-sac to Hyde Creek. Due to limited funds in 1993, the Public Works Committee recommends that the City construct the storm sewer this year at a cost of $16,848 in order to alleviate the flooding problem.
