MEETING J Our 30th Birthday Party will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 1985 at 1359 Cartwright Street, Granville Island, commencing at 7.30 p.m. The Guild will provide snacks and our birthday cake, and you are asked to bring wine or beverage of your choice. The Olea Davis Award will be presented and there may be some surprise enter- tainment! 1985 has been a tremendous year of achievement for the Guild. We have a home and our possessions are no longer seattered over the Lower Mainland in various basements. We have fulfilled a dream in establishing the Gallery of B.C. Ceramies which has been very well received by an increasinely discerning Public and sold over $24,000 worth of B.C. Potters' work. We have a lot to celebrate so come and join us for our big Three-Oh! Angela EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING Notice is hereby given on December 1, 1985 of an Extra- ordinary General Meeting of the Potters Guild of British Columbia to be held on Wednesday, January 15, 1986 at 1359 Cartwright Street, Granville Island, Vancouver, 8B.C., commencing at 7.30 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to propose and approve an amended Constitution and By-Laws of the Potters Guild of British Columbia, a non-profit Society incorporated under the Societies Act of the Province of British Columbia on December 11, 1974, Registration Number ll?272, The Directors of the said Society deem it necessary to change the present Conatitution and By-Laws for the following purposes: 1) That the aims and objects of the Society truly repre- sent the contemporary objectives of the Society. 2) That the Constitution and By-Laws are relevant and suitable for the expanded activities and financial responsibilities of the Society. 3) That the society may be recognized as a ‘Registered Charity’ by the Teer eae of National Revenue, Taxation under subsection 149.1({1) of the Income Tax Act. 2
