January 22, 1990/020 From the Director of Community Planning, January 15th, 1990 regarding Official Community Plan Amendment No. 68/89 and Rezoning Application No. 61/89 for 2400 and 2422 Pitt River Road. Moved by Al-. cman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Wright: That the Clerk's Office be directed to prepare a bylaw to re-designate the properties at 2400 and 2422 Pitt River Road from "Residential 2" to “Apartment 1", and to rezone these lots from A=1 to RM-3; and That the Clerk's office advise the applicant that final approval of these Rezoning and 0.C.P. Amendment applications are subject to: 1. Satisfaction of the Municipal Engineer concerns; 2. Consolidation of the two lots; 3. Submission of a revised design that fully comply with the provisions of the RM-3 zone, to the satisfaction of the Director of Planning; 4. Submission of a landscape plan to the satisfaction of the Parks and Recreation Department. Carried. That City Council advise the general manager of liquor licensing, it does not oppose this application and that the referendum procedure should be completed to ensure that a majority of residents support this application. 2. That the applicant be advised that this application will require an amendment to the land use contract governing the property; and 3. That Council adopt a procedure for determining public opinion on neighbourhood pubs or licensee retail store proposal. The current procedure of retaining a reputable marketing firm to poll neighbourhood support is recommended.
